Trekking and hiking tips

Normal ascent from Elbigenalp:
Starting at Hotel Alpenrose, crossing the woodcarver and the Gibler Alm you will reach the Bernhardseck after about 2,5 Hrs.

Meadow way from Bach:
Starting point is the church in Bach, continue over the Weiler Klapf to the meadow, over the Egg to Bernhardseck in 2,5 hrs.

Hiking trip from Holzgau:
Start at the bakery Knitel in Holzgau, over Schigge to Windegg, continue to Joechelspitze over the Mutte to Bernhardseck in 4,5-5 hrs.

Lech valley panoramic route:
By using the Lechtaler Bergbahn (cable car) you will cross 600 Altitude meters in 15 mins. Starting point is the mountain station zum Lachenkopf, continue to Joechelspitze, Rothorn and then to Bernhardseck in approx. 2,5 hrs.

Alpenrosensteig:
Starting point is the mountain station zum Lachenkopf, over the "Alpenrosensteig" (alpine rose trail) to Bernhardseck in approx. 2 hrs.

Krottenkopf round trip
Day 1: Ascent to Bernhardseck over one of the marked trails (1-5), stay overnight
Day 2: Ascent over the Mutte to the Gumpensattel and the Karjoch. Descent to the Bernhardstal (valley) via trail 437 direction Elbigenalp, 4-5 hrs.
or: Ascent over Mutte direction Joechelspitze passing-by the Rothorn to the Krottenkopfscharte, ascent to the Krottenkopf summit, descent back to the Krottenkopfscharte and head to the Hermann-Von-Barth Huette.
Day 3: descent from the Hermann-Von-Barth Huette passing Kasermandl to Elbigenalp, 2-2,5 hrs.
